This touched me Matthew, Thank you for the thoughtfulness of your pieces.
A friend's son died , some of us went to the house after the memorial and just sat , present, holding space, bearing witness with the family.
Also,
Invisibility comes to mind too, many may feel this way at any given time, importance of any small acknowledgement of another matters. Who knows what little sign of mattering at that moment can hold someone into a small brightness of heart.
Kristen -- thank you for writing. You bring up an excellent point on acknowledgement, which could be viewed as a form of appreciation, no matter how small.
Thank you Matthew. You wrote beautifully about a tough subject. We've lost many people in our extended circles to suicide over the years. It's heartbreaking every single time. Montana has one of the highest suicide rates in the country. The country itself is going through a pandemic of loneliness. I've recently started a habit of calling, texting, or reaching out anytime someone I know passes through my mind. I'm working on seeing people more face to face. And always telling them I love them.
Such a beautiful piece Matthew.
Donna,
Absolutely agree that this piece was a beauty.

This was very moving, and something to be remembered.
Mathew,
Thank you for providing such warmth and positivity on this Sunday morning!
We all can use a reminder of love. It can easily be overlooked. I usually go back to a quote from Pastor Francis Chan when he said:
"We are here to love...not much else matters."
