Welcome to Inner Peace
One of my favorite quotes is from the author E.B. White: "All that I hope to say in books, all that I ever hope to say, is that I love the world." Almost everything I hope to say here through Inner Peace centers on loving people and the world.
In addition to these pages, my stories have appeared in the pages of the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Sarasota Magazine, and the Washington Post, among others.
I wrote about college basketball at The Athletic, the sports publication, before working as a senior writer at Fundstrat Global Advisors, a Wall Street equity research boutique. I’ve written about interesting people ranging from a bartender who works 50-hour weeks to run a school in Nicaragua to students at a Harlem Lacrosse program to a Native American lacrosse stick maker.
A native of Princeton, New Jersey, I graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in finance and journalism.
One of my favorite college experiences occurred in the summer of 2017, when I interned for The Lenfest Institute, whose sole mission is to develop and support sustainable business models for great local journalism. My biggest project centered on helping grow readership and revenues at The Philadelphia Tribune, the oldest continuously published African-American newspaper in the United States.
Since 2021, I’ve written this newsletter, “Inner Peace” — a collection of meditations and reflections to foster peace, love, and calmness.
Additional projects and volunteer include the American Red Cross, the Climate Optimist, Sustainable Westchester, and the Prison Journalism Project.
In May 2024, I married my soulmate, Ally. You may read our love story here in the New York Times.
